The Circle Quilt Company is run by Kristy and Renae Visser.

Kristy has been quilting for 16+ years, after receiving her first sewing machine shortly after graduating from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, where she studied illustration.  It didn’t take long for her to become incredibly engrossed in all the colors and possibilities quilting brought.  Many, many quilts later (and fabric everywhere in the house, much to her husband’s annoyance) and she can’t imagine a life without the beauty quilts bring.

Renae is newer to the quilting world, although not new to sewing, having sewn many a garment in her day.  But watching her daughter (Kristy) quilt with abandon and joy, she had to join in.  10+ years later, Renae is just as enamored by the joy her quilts bring to the people around her.

Finally, in a fit of insanity in late 2017, we jointly purchased a Handiquilter Amara after a short stint of testing, comparing, and debating the vast array of different longarm options.  Shortly after purchasing the Amara, we added a ProStitcher computer unit to our machine to aid us in doing what we loved most – quilting!

We opened The Circle Quilt Company in mid-2018 for business, and it definitely has been an adventure! We have loved getting to know you and your quilts, and look forwards to continuing to quilt for you, and can’t wait to see what’s next for you and your projects.
